Jelly Bean, therapy horse at Saddle Up!

Jelly Bean

Pony

Jelly Bean is the smallest of the herd at 550 lbs, but he has a big heart and a lot of attitude. Before coming to Saddle Up! he taught many kids how to ride and he loves hanging out with his best friend, Sampson.

Charlie, therapy horse at Saddle Up!

Charlie

Pony

Charlie was ridden as a show jumper and pleasure horse before coming to Saddle Up! As you can tell, he is loving his life here, including hanging out with the many kids and volunteers. He loves to play with his friends in the pony pasture!

Arrow, therapy horse at Saddle Up!

Arrow

Quarter Horse

Once owned by a country music star, Arrow gave guided trail rides and was a pleasure horse. He is named 'Arrow' because of the distinct arrow pattern on his right side — making him the easiest paint to identify. Arrow is like a big puppy dog and a rider favorite!

Testimonials

Stories of transformation

Saddle Up! has been part of our family for many years and we have seen first-hand the impact that Saddle Up's mission has on its riders and families. The incredible care of the staff, the power of the horses and the excitement of the riders all comes together in a facility that fosters an incredible transformation. I'm honored to be part of such an amazing organization, and look forward to being part of its growth.

Brian Hubbard

Board President, Saddle Up! Nashville

Before Saddle Up!, my son couldn't make eye contact with strangers. After six months, he walked into his classroom and introduced himself to his teacher. The horses gave him something we couldn't.

Sarah M.

Parent of a Therapeutic Riding participant

Volunteering here changed my life as much as I hope it changes the riders'. Every Saturday I leave feeling like I've done something that actually matters.
